Porter passed away a week shy of his fourteenth birthday this past December.  He was still actively hunting and breeding until this past November when he was diagnosed with lung cancer.

This hunting season we had a couple of enjoyable upland hunting adventures including our last hunt on Iowa private land which yielded a limit of roosters.  It was a great end to a great career.

Porter, when at home, was a member of the family, and played alot with our sons and daughters (who both absolutely adored him).  His favorite activity was Kong in the front yard.  We primarily hunted pheasants, and tried to find time to hunt waterfowl a few times each season.   We hated seeing Porter age, but despite being a little bit slower, he had the same desire and a great attitude.

We really miss Porter!  For those wanting to breed, we still have a large quantity of frozen semen stored.  Until the inventory is reduced significantly, stud fees will remain the same.

Finally, a huge congrats to Rock/Hud.  Rock/Hud are from the breeding of Kiera (TGK Pointing Labs) and Porter 20 months ago.  Rock is the youngest 4xGMPR ever! Rock is owned by Justin Poore and trained/handled by Mike Lettau.  Rock competed in the 2016 Master National.  Rock's littermate Hud. also a 4xGMPR, passed the 2016 Master National, and is also handled by Mike Lettau.
